Robert Lyn Allen, M.F.T. is
a native of California who grew up in the South Central Los Angeles area.
Until the age of 10 he was raised by his great-grandmother and later was placed
in a foster home.
Robert’s teenage years were tumultuous. He dropped
out of high school and spent several years in juvenile hall. The
gift of a strong spirit and a willingness to change the course of his
life brought Robert to enroll in junior college. He later transferred
to a university where he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
Currently, he is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing
private practice individual and group counseling and consulting with various
non-profit agencies in the Los Angeles area.
Currently he is acquiring certification as a Professional Life Coach.
The seminal lesson that Robert’s life experience has taught him is to "focus
attention on love and discipline. After that, it all falls into place."
Circle of Love is a non-profit
organization dedicated to providing vital support and empowerment skills.
To
strengthen the care-giving community and to support self-sufficiency
for individuals, their families, and work environments.

Mr. Allen has provided training to many parents at the on-site level and at the
program level working directly with the parents in workshops and
training sessions designed to address their exact needs.
Parents report continually
that with Robert Lyn Allen's personal approach they were empowered and better able to
accept and handle the many challenges in their and their children's lives.
Mr. Allen was the driving force in the implementation of a Male
Involvement Program instituted in 2001.
The fathers and other family
male representatives were very pleased and engaged in the support
groups that he facilitated.
